PanamaTipico.com Organized the Local Production of an International Folklore CD
First, we recorded some mejoranas with the traditional Panamanian guitar.
Then, we moved to Congos, the strongly African music of Colon province.

Michael Hornstein, German researcher and producter in charge of the overall process.
Our affiliated musician, Francisco De Gracia, also lent his talent for this project.
The second day started with some tamboritos from Las Tablas.

Colaquito Cortez, a Panamanian musician of international fame also joined us for this recording.
Six months ago, we got a call from Mr. Miguel Hornstein, from Germany. He needed help in organizing a recording session of many genres of Panamanian music and found our website, PanamaTipico.com, to be very useful.
After several months of talks, last week Mr. Hornstein finally arrived at Panama and our webmaster, Marino Jaen Espinosa, had all details ready for the recording. We were able to contact 5 groups of musicians for this project. All of them were part of our PanamaTipico.com's family, some as affiliated musicians. others as messageboard members or friends. We also provided arrangements for the recording studio, hotel, transportation, etc.
We had 4 days of very hard work but in the end our visitor was very happy with the whole process and the final product. Once again, we have demonstrated the professionalism and talent of our Panamanian musicians.
